Gallery Calendar - 2005
April 2nd
Glen Ryan’s breathtaking infra red photographic exhibition 'Between Sand & Sky' will open on Saturday 2nd of April at the Sawmill Gallery. This expanded exhibition features many of the vertical coastal images of the initial release “Invisible Landscapes”, plus new images completed in early 2005. These images evoke strong emotions from the viewer and have a surreal yet serene presence. The stark, high contrast nature of infra red photography captures tonal values which are both visible and invisible to the human eye. This gives them their characteristic appearance and was the inspiration behind the phrase “Invisible Landscapes”
All of the images in the exhibition are in a “vertical” format and the framed size is just over a metre in height.
'Between Sand & Sky' opens on Saturday 2nd of April and Glen will be on hand to talk about the images and wider 'invisible landscapes' concept on both the 2nd and Sunday 3rd of April. Apart from the opening weekend, Sawmill Gallery is usually open Monday to Friday but other weekend dates may be added later.
