Brief:
Kitchen Witchery Catering are a high end corporate catering company. The initial brief was to create an online catering to order e commerce store with a delivery system. At the time Uber eats etc were trending. This concept was phased out as the logistics and customer base wasn’t viable (this was pre COVID-19). The site was built in Shopify and was 90% complete when the brief changed.
The new brief was to improve on the original site which was essentially a brochure site from the late 90’s. This was a ‘ground up’ redevelopment using the Shopify store CMS. The previous site, was a one off custom CMS that was difficult to update, didn’t conform to current SEO standards or responsive design. The brief was to address all three issues. During the build a fresh set of food photos were generated to illustrate the wide range of menus. Also the content for the site was completely reviewed and re-written.
A total makeover later, the SEO process started. Both organic and paid advertising was fast tracked and in less that 4 weeks the site had a CTR of 4.4%
April 2020 update – the home deliver and takeaway system is now in place!
